Afrobeats icon Ruger has returned with a six-track EP titled ‘R.U. (Raw & Unfiltered) Vol. 1’. The project blends influences from afro-house, baile funk, R&B, afro-dancehall, kizomba and gospel.
Across the release, Ruger is joined by a host of collaborators, from Musa Keys and Young Stunna to Brazil’s MC Morena. Each guest brings a different flavour that adds variety, allowing the lead artist to experiment with genre.
Already a global star, R.U looks set to push this musician into the next level of adoration. Fans will be hoping that he continues to reach even further.
