Hailing from Ashby, 18 year old rising star Sekou has today released his long-awaited and highly anticipated debut single ‘Better Man’ – an emotionally charged and infused ballad that explores sensitive subject matter with such maturity and ease, whilst communicating an insanely powerful yet delicate vocal over a perfect instrumentation.

A raw and universally relatable track, ‘Better Man’ encourages listeners to recognise their flaws and strive to improve themselves despite a world that often looks over their shoulders and looks down on them. Having found fans in the likes of Lewis Capaldi, Sam Smith, Bruno Mars, Anderson Paak and so many more – Sekou is gearing up to become the next big thing in the industry – an undeniable generational talent. A vocal so unique and powerful has not gone unnoticed – multiple sold out shows in his home town and packed out pop up events in London alongside countless industrial support has led Sekou up to now.

Speaking on the single, Sekou said: “Growing up I had a bad relationship with my dad, but I never knew I could write a song out of it. I wanted to write half of it to myself, telling myself what not to do, but then also telling my dad a message as well. When I started the writing process that was the only thing I could really relate to and be honest about.”
