Shy One Drops ‘Nort Wess’ Single

Shy One has returned with her new single, ‘Nort Wess’. The track announces her signing to South London record label Touching Bass.

Inspired by grime and the Black British history of elecetronic music, Shy One has a quintessentially London sound and is one of the capital’s most talented artists. ‘Nort Wess’ is a stellar homage to the sounds that have shaped her.

Speaking on the next phase of her career, the artist states:

“I first met Errol in 2016 at an Eglo boat party at Dimensions Festival. There was a musical alignment between us and I would often play at the early Touching Bass nights. We’ve talked about releasing music together a few times since then so I’m really happy we’re actually managing to make it happen. 

Since my last release, I’ve felt compelled to slow down and declutter (both mentally and sonically), making an effort to have more trust in my intuition and step into a sound that feels more like me. ‘Nort Wess’ is one of the many results of this process.”
