12 Aug 2022
Hailing from Brisbane, Australian producer, DJ and innovator Skin on Skin has today released genre bending single ‘Burn Dem Bridges’. Having caught a viral moment on TikTok with a stand out moment from his AVA Boiler Room set, SOS gained more than 15 million viral impressions with no promo – showcasing an innovative and unique fusion between UK Drill and the Dance and Electronic scene.
In what feels like one of the biggest milestone records of the year, ‘Burn Dem Bridges’ fuses elements of hard hitting techno percussion with vocal samples from UK Drill artists Sav’O and Horrid1’s hit track “Violent Siblings”. Testament to the forward thinking mind of the Australian – the potential this has not only for the UK Drill scene but the techno and electronic scene is immense. Who would have thought you’d hear drill fusioned into a bouncy techno tune?
Culturally, this is definitely one of the biggest releases of the year – and if you haven’t heard it, make sure to check it out!
