We’re looking closely at the official chart tables to document the achievements of acts we champion as a collective scene. This week, Dutchavelli’s debut mixtape “Dutch From The 5th” beats Pop Smoke’s multi-platinum album, landing the eighth position on the official albums chart. The project is coming off the back of Dutchavelli’s hot single releases, feature verses and media appearances, earning him major exposure and a rising viewership. For U.K. rap’s newcomer, this is a massive victory as the rapper only made his comeback with drill cut, “If Only You Knew”, back in January, and has thrived independent of his sister’s spotlight – Stefflon Don – ever since.

Giggs’ surprise project, “Now Or Never“, received no prior marketing roll-out or similar and has debuted on the chart list, occupying the fifteenth spot in its first week. The SN1 emcee first earned critical acclaim after releasing debut album, “Walk In The Park”, in 2008. The Landlord needed no introduction when he dropped his latest mixtape. Being one of the first urban acts to take British hip-hop to a commercial level, Giggs’ diverse project has been well-received and includes collaborative bangers with the likes of Dave, A Boogie and Jorja Smith.

The Official Singles 100 chart is ever-fluctuating and poses more competitive activity than the chart list for albums. Sitting among global superstars, such as Ariana Grande and Miley Cyrus, is Wes Nelson & Hardy Caprio’s “See Nobody” collaborative record. Combining summer time hit-maker with Love Island’s semi-finalist has proven to be popular amongst the commercial audience, which has allowed them to maintain their top five position and a third week on the chart table.

KSI‘s “Really Love” comes in at number eight, which saw the viral youtuber-entertainer join forces with a star-studded lineup, including: Craig David, legendary British R&B artist, and English DJ, Digital Farm Animals (Nick Gale), who has produced for the likes of Dua Lipa, Nelly and Will.I.Am! The club-friendly, pop record has amassed over eight million views on YouTube and is backed by an army of fans.

Congratulations to the charting acts pushing our scene forward, and, in case you missed it, check out the previous chart update here!
