The Chart Update: Ed Sheeran Debuts At #1 With Highly Awaited Album ‘=’

A massive year for UK music and the charts continue to accumulate, with statement-making artists continuing to make an impact. Mixtape Madness is back for yet another weekly chart update, providing the latest stats and figures on the nations biggest artists right now!

Back with an incredibly significant album, UK icon Ed Sheeran returns placing an unsurprising effect on the scene. Debuting at #1 with new album ‘=‘, Ed sells 139,000 copies in his first week! At Number #81, popular songstress Pink Pantheress drops down a few spots but still remains in the top 100 in week 3 with debut mixtape ‘To Hell With It‘.

Two of the biggest artists in UK history, Tottenham born, global star Adele holds #1 in the singles charts with “Easy On Me“, going neck to neck with Ed Sheeran – “Shivers” at #2. Taking off on TikTok, blasting up to an outstanding spot debuting at #20 , SwitchOTR, A1 and J1 hit the charts with new single “Coming For You“. Additionally – young, thriving rapper Digga D holds position #24 with ‘Squid Game’ inspired track “Red Light, Green Light“, followed by many new entries!

Other new impactful entries include: Dabeatfreakz featuring Russ Millions, RAYE and wewantwraiths – “Money Calling” at #56, Abra Cadabra and Unknown T “Double Tap” at #64, M Huncho “Hiatus” at #72 and Amaarae and Moliy “Sad Girls Luv Money” at #79!
