The Chart Update: K Trap and Blade Brown Secure A Top 20 With Collab Mixtape ‘Joints’

Welcome back to ‘The Chart Update’ where we take a dive into the current week’s releases and the positions our artists have grabbed in the UK charts! Lets kick off with the most exciting entry this week!

Last Friday, prominent drill artist K Trap joined forces with rap veteran Blade Brown for highly anticipated ‘Joints’ collab mixtape. This project consisted of 11 hard-hitting tracks, going back to back on sounds of rap, drill and trap resulting in an impressive spot of #18 !!! Securing this chart position independently is undeniably a stepping stone which should be celebrated in both of their careers and. A culture defining moment for sure.

So lets get into the nitty-gritty statistics:

This week single charts includes, Dave (again!) at #1 in week 4 with latest single “Starlight” followed by Aitch (again!) x Ashanti at #2 in week 3 with “Baby”. These two young stars are killing it and have the UK by the neck.

Other single charts achieved this week are from AJ x J1 ft Tion Wayne, jumping up 1 spot since last week to #13. Lillz ft ZieZie “Glad U Came” secures position #15 followed by Russ, Buni, YV sitting comfortably in the charts at #17. Brighton’s Arrdee claims #29 with “Come & Go” in week 4, with Hackney rap star Clavish impressively charting as a rising artist at #93.

Through the promotion of UK production ‘TopBoy’, Potter Payper’s “Gangsteritis” has crept into the charts on its way for a top 20. It currently sits at #23 from last weeks #56!!

Ardee’s ‘Pier Pressure’ dropping down to position #6 from #2 as well as Dave’s “We’re All Alone In This Together” at #11!
