Afrobeats powerhouse Tiwa Savage returns with her first official release of the year, “Energy,” a feel-good anthem that brings together three generations of talent.

Produced by Krisbeatz, Tiwa join forces with Nigerian hitmaker Wande Coal and gen-z favourite Mavo for a celebration of confidence, ambition, and self-belief.

First previewed at the 2026 MOBO Awards, “Energy” captures the mindset of stepping into your purpose and embracing opportunities with intention. Built on infectious melodies and vibrant production, the single delivers an uplifting message while showcasing the chemistry between its three collaborators.

This release marks the beginning of a new chapter for Tiwa, serving as the first offering from her forthcoming project. Speaking on the record, she says “Energy is about stepping into your power and owning who you are without apology,” says Tiwa Savage. “It’s about confidence, ambition and protecting your energy while staying focused on becoming everything you’re meant to be.”

The release also arrives on the back of a major year for Tiwa Savage as earlier this year, she launched the Tiwa Savage Music Foundation in partnership with Berklee College of Music, furthering her commitment to supporting the next generation of African talent. Through the initiative, 18 students received scholarships worth a combined $2.1 million, opening doors to world-class music education and industry development opportunities.

Focused on empowering young creatives across Africa, particularly those from underrepresented communities, the foundation provides access to mentorship, training, and resources designed to help aspiring artists build sustainable careers. Participants also gain hands-on experience across key areas of the industry, including songwriting, music production, live performance, and music business.

With “Energy,” Tiwa continues to showcase her ability to bridge generations and push African music onto the global stage.
