Tora-i has released a new single, ’10months’, accompanied by an artistic visual directed by Jesse Crankson. This will be the artist’s final release before her sophomore EP, ‘& What Else’, drops this Thursday.

Born to Jamaican and Ghanaian parents, Tora-i is a unique talent with a distinctive sound. Having toured with Snoh Alegra and performed on a COLORS live session, the artist has an innate ability to lay her emotions bare through her lyricism, whilst her voice matches the quality of her words.

Speaking on the track, Tora-i states:

“The video was inspired by a lyric in the song, “rose swinging chandelier” meaning something fantasied, changing & fragile. The 1966 film Daisies was another loose reference, it’s about two friends who desire more out of life which in turn makes them more and more destructive. The last scene of the movie is their peak, after an indulgent meal turned food fight they climb onto a chandelier & swing. After their taste of everything, everything means little. for this video I wanted it to feel like a passing moment in time.”

Clearly taking an interest in her craft in order to create an out of the ordinary experience for her fanbase, Tora-i is an artist who is destined for success. ’10months’ showcases her at her creative best and her upcoming EP looks set to be a breakthrough moment for the artist.
