Following on from his ‘Part 1’ mixtape released earlier this year, Lewisham starlet Vic Santoro makes his return with captivating visuals for his latest single ‘Came and Saw’.

Setting the scene are luxury black and white visuals, that alternate between Santoro riding through the city alone, and playing poker among his companions; in both cases exuding confidence. The video takes a conscious turn by displaying a backdrop featuring projections of BLM protests that took place in May last year; used by the artist to touch on and emphasise his passionate, humanitarian side away from music.

Lyrically, Santoro builds excitement in ‘Came and Saw’, through his storytelling mannerisms, ambitious hook and direct punchlines delivered in an easy-going manner, over the light-hearted, optimistic instrumental. As well as detailing moments of reflection, he gives credit to his faith, and how this has guided him into the next chapter of his life which he is about to enter.
