Breakthrough Ghanaian musician Yaw Tog has dropped his new single ‘Aso)den’ via EMPIRE. Returning to his widely acclaimed Drill sound, ‘Aso)den’ is an energetic offering inspired by rebellion and a bouncy production courtesy of Khendi Beatz.

Captured by BigBossRG, the vibrant video was shot in a variety of infamous London locations including Piccadilly Circus and the London Underground during his trip to the capital in October. The title of the single, ‘Aso)den’ – which translates to ‘stubbornness’ in Yaw Tog’s native language, Twi – reflects his young yet matured mindset which he continues to demonstrate to his fans. ‘Aso)den’ has been highly anticipated since the preview surfaced last month and is due to be part of a wider project out soon. Speaking on the single Yaw Tog said: “You just can’t beat the person who won’t give up”

Yaw Tog quickly earned his reputation as Ghana’s breakout star after receiving worldwide recognition following his viral hit, ‘Sore’. The song broke a number of records and was remixed by two heavyweights, Stormzy & Kwesi Arthur, which catapulted the track further into the hall of fame. A year full of achievements in 2021 included BET’s International Artist Of The Month and Hip-Hop Song Of The Year at the 3Music Awards. Still, so early on in his career he has achieved some major accolades, yet he remains grounded, determined, humble and ready to put the work in.
