Yazmin Lacey Drops New Single “Two Steps”

Yazmin Lacey, recently announced her highly anticipated forthcoming sophomore album ‘Teal Dreams’, out October 24th 2025. In celebration of the announcement, Yazmin releases the second single of the project “Two Steps”, out now on AMF Records.

Driven by a striking Spanish guitar rhythm and an alluring bass line from Miles James (Little Simz), on ‘Two Steps’, Yazmin steps powerfully into her own. 

The accompanying video shot by Frances O’Sullivan, captures the essence of ‘Two Steps’ through a dreamy, offbeat line dancing class, 

On the new single, Yazmin remarks: “Two Steps is the sound of me drawing the line, it is sharp, unapologetic, and overdue. It’s the rhythm of a toxic connection where both sides are out of sync, stepping on toes and testing limits. It came from frustration from being treated like an option instead of a priority, from letting too much slide, for too long. Two Steps is me reclaiming my power. It’s bold, it’s fiery, and it’s a side of me I haven’t let out before in my music.

Women aren’t often given the space to express anger without being labelled, so I gave mine a home here. Two Steps is the sharp edge of my tongue. It’s a warning shot to others, it’s feisty, fierce, and unfiltered. People need to do better. And so do I for myself.”
