Yazmin Lacey And Tyson Collab On ‘Water’

Yazmin Lacey has come together with fellow acclaimed singer Tyson for her new single, ‘Water’. The track has been accompanied by a visual featuring both artists directed by Daisy Belknap.

On the track, Lacey states:

“Water is probably the most vulnerable songs on the album, a conversation between two friends looking at each others lives change, the ebs and flows of friendship and most importantly and lovingly the ability to hold on to them and change with each other. We talk about romantic love so much but the love between friends is crazy and should be studied more. Tyson, thank you for meeting me with such vulnerability. Moral of the story is adult life is hard no matter what your situation and it is beautiful and rewarding to change and grow with your loved ones xxx”

Tyson added:

“I was deep in the early days of motherhood when Yaz sent me a voicenote with this idea she had for a song. It was about exactly where I found myself at the time. Life changes, years pass and old friendships take new shapes, or you grow apart. The song is a conversation I think a lot people, especially women, need to have and sometimes life just doesn’t allow it. At some point you have to find your way back to each other and remember how important the love is. I’m so honoured to be part of the song, it was a really cathartic experience for me. Yazmin is an incredible artist and a dear friend.”
