Complex UK, Lynx and SocialFIXT have delivered the final episode of their three-part segment titled, The Race Card. This series aims to discuss an array of racial microaggressions with a variety of well-known Black personalities from varying disciplines.

Flipping ‘the race card’ on its head, which is often used to silence legitimate debate, the last two episodes explored experiences within school and work from the likes Jesse Lingard, AJ Tracey, Novelist, Sideman, Ayishat Akanbi, and Chante Joseph. In opening up about their personal narratives of racial stereotyping, the group have raised further awareness around what happens in their everyday lives – and that undoubtedly needs to change!

For the last and final episode, they all sit down to discuss the microaggressions experienced within the wider society; from fitting the description of a ‘suspicious’ person in the area and being stopped and searched, to ‘pulling the race card’ and more – this episode is a must-watch.

The Race Card  was created in partnership with SocialFIXT — the online job-board platform and community connecting Black talent to jobs in the creative industries — and paq — the Black-owned creative agency that delivers their vision with purpose, authenticity and quality.
