COVID-19 is still kicking about and these unusual times call for an unusual NBA Draft. This year the Draft was held virtually as opposed to its usual setting of a packed out Barclays Centre in New York City. For those that don’t know in American sports they operate under a Draft system, meaning teams get to select the top eligible college prospects in the nation every year to add to their rosters. In the NBA, the draft is comprised of 2 rounds, with 30 selections made in each. The best and most highly sought after athletes go in the 1st with the 2nd round largely holding the more riskier talent.

The top 4 choices are called lottery picks and as the name suggest the young men who get picked during this part of the Draft are the best that America and sometimes the world has to offer that year. Being picked in the lottery is a big deal, but it also comes with a lot pressure none more so than the 1st overall pick.

This year that honour went to Anthony Edwards who was chosen by the Minnesota Timberwolves as the 1st overall pick of this NBA draft. He came ahead of LaMelo Ball who some thought might go first and James Wiseman who were picked by the Charlotte Hornets and the Golden State Warriors in 3rd and 2nd place respectively. Below are all the draft picks from 1-60.
