Oleksandr Usyk defeated Anthony Joshua in a 12 round thriller stripping the Brit of his WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO titles.
Winning on a points decision after 12 rounds at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in north London, Usyk joined Evander Holyfield and David Haye as the only 3 fighters to become champion at heavyweight. 1xbet عربي
The win adds on to a legacy of Ukrainian dominance of the heavyweight division set by Usyk’s fellow country men the Klitschko brothers.
Dillian Whyte, Former British heavyweight champion said on BBC Radio 5 Live:
“I said if Joshua tried to box he was always going to lose. If he had to come out and bully him and push the pace and let his hands go he could have knocked him out in the first even round,”
“But he came out and was being too negative he seemed like a gun shy fighter. You are the bigger man, have a go,”
“I don’t know, he lacked ambition in the ring there tonight.”
The defeat wrecks Joshua’s hopes of squaring off against bitter rival Tyson Fury to become the undisputed heavyweight world champion by way of adding the WBC title.
There is however talk of a rematch clause between AJ and Usyk existing so perhaps all is not lost. كازينو عربي
