After much speculation and anticipation, the opponent for Anthony Joshua’s next fight has been confirmed: Jarrell ‘Big Baby’ Miller.

The pair will be fighting on June 1, 2019, at Madison Square Garden, New York City and Joshua will be fighting to keep his heavyweight titles. This will be AJ’s first fight in the US and it is rumoured that this fight against Miller will earn him roughly between £25m and £30m.

Despite the high stakes, the heavyweight champion doesn’t seem to be breaking a sweat, having posted this video and with the caption “Back on UK soil, it’s press conference round two. June 1st watch me reconstruct Millers face” to his Youtube channel a few days ago.

Joshua, who also acts as a brand ambassador for William Hill, is said to be the favourite for this match, despite his opponent being one of the heaviest of the leading contenders, weighing in at over 22st.

His manager, Eddie Hearn, responded to the boxer’s comments about the upcoming fight saying:

“This is not the sort of stuff that you hear AJ say, but that’s good. He carries the spite.”

Who will you be rooting for?
