Bahamas Resort Offers Free Stay or Private Jet Ride For Guests Who Test Positive For COVID-19

Baha Mar, a hotel in the Bahamas is taking an interesting approach to the pandemic offering customers who the at positive for COVID-19 a free stay or private jet ride.

Guest will take a free on-site rapid COVID-19 screening before arrival with those who test positive given the option of a free private plane back home or a gratis, 14-day quarantine in a hotel suite — which includes a daily meal credit of $150.

Located on the island of New Providence rolled the program out three weeks ago and is still offering the deal.

The statement on the company website says, “Baha Mar is raising the bar again by taking the unprecedented step to be the first and only resort to provide courtesy private jet service back to the US or a free stay for guests who test positive for COVID-19 prior to departure from the resort,”

“It is our hope that through this program, our guests will feel confident when booking a stay with us, as well as valued and supported by the Baha Mar family should any issues arise during their trip.”

“Our ‘Travel with Confidence’ program is the first of its kind in the industry, providing travelers with added peace of mind and the option to safely return home, or quarantine at no added expense — the choice is theirs.”
