Blackpool FC’s Jake Daniels Becomes UK First Openly Gay Active Footballer

Blackpool FC’s Jake Daniels has come out as gay, becoming the UK’s first and only active openly gay professional player.
“Keen to break the stigma” within the sport the 17-year-old also becomes the first UK male professional footballer to come out as gay since Justin Fashanu in 1990.
