Bounty Removed From Celebrations After Years Of Complaints
3 Nov 2022
Mars Wrigley is to remove Bounty bars from its Celebrations chocolate tubs after finding 39 percent of consumers want the coconut-flavoured treats gone for good.
A limited run of “No Bounty” tubs will go on sale at 40 Tesco stores in the run-up to Christmas, the promo ending December 18.
The limited edition tubs will instead include additional Mars, Snickers, Milky Way, Galaxy and Maltesers sweets to make up for the missing Bounty bars.
The war on the coconut confectionery has been kicked up a gear from last year, when the brand let shoppers return unwanted Bounties.
As of now there is no plan from Mars Wrigley to banish the chocolate for good, with 18% of peopling naming the Bounty bar as their favourite.
