Conservative MP Caught Watching Porn In The House of Commons
27 Apr 2022
There will be an investigation into the claims a Tory MP watched pornography on his phone in the House of Commons chamber.
A women minister reportedly told colleagues about the incident at a meeting of Conservative MPs on Tuesday with the story corroborated by a another colleague.
The meeting of the so-called 2022 group was attended by as many as 50 MPs.
The group of about 12 to 14 female MPs shared their experiences of sexist behaviour among Tory male MPs
The party’s whips office said Chief whip Chris Heaton-Harris “is looking into this matter”.
“This behaviour is wholly unacceptable and action will be taken,” they said in a statement.
PM Boris Johnson suggested the MP responsible could be dismissed when asked whether sexual harassment would be grounds for dismissal.
He told the Commons “sexual harassment is intolerable” and “of course it is grounds for dismissal”.
