The much loved Dame Barbara has sadly passed at the age of 83 her husband Scott Mitchell confirmed.

The Eastenders legend known for her iconic character Peggy Mitchell was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2014.

Mr Mitchell said her final weeks were “full of humour, drama and a fighting spirit until the end”.
