A Delta flight was forced to fly back after one of it’s passenger reportedly had diarrhoea “all the way through the plane.”
The Airbus A350 aircraft headed to Barcelona had to retreat to Atlanta two-hours into the flight for what was described by the pilot as a “biohazard issue”.
Explaining that they will make an emergency landing back in Atlanta to air traffic control, the pilot added: “We’ve had a passenger who’s had diarrhoea all the way through the airplane, so they want us to come back to Atlanta.”
In the statement from Delta, a spokesperson said:
“Our teams worked as quickly and safely as possible to thoroughly clean the airplane and get our customers to their final destination. We sincerely apologize to our customers for the delay and inconvenience to their travel plans.”
Passengers did eventually make it back on the plane after an eight hour delay.
