Considered by some as the greatest to ever play the sport, football legend Diego Maradona has unfortunately passed of a heart attack his Lawyer says. Maradona also had a brain surgery just this month.

The much loved Argentinian, played for a host of clubs but he might be revered most at Napoli where helped them to their first Serie A in 1987. He also scored what some believe to be the greatest goal of all time against England in the 1986 World Cup leading Argentina to glory in the competition.

The story of Maradona is not complete without talking about his struggle with dug addiction. He was banned from football for 15 months in 1991 for drug use and was thrown out of the World Cup in the US after testing positive for ephedrine.

However he will be remembered for his footballing antics and of course you cannot forget his Infamous “ Hand of God” goal which has become a staple in the pantheon of footballs greatest moments. His passing is truly a tragic moment for the whole footballing world.
