Sad news for the Arsenal and wider youtube football community as Claude Callegari of Arsenal Fan TV fame passes away at 58 years old.

Callegari who was known for his impassioned outburst after Arsenal matches, was confirmed dead by his family, his father announcing the news on social media.

The statement made by his family reads as follows:

“We can’t believe we are writing this, with permission from Claude’s father, it is with great sadness and a broken heart that we have to announce that our dear friend and legend Claude sadly passed away yesterday afternoon 29th March,”

“We ask that you please respect the privacy of Claude, his family and friends and be respectful at this extremely sad time.

“RIP dear friend, gone but never be forgotten. Gooner for life. Terry & Diesel.”

The news has seen an outpouring of condolences from fans of him and the football community with current and former players like Yannick Bolasie and Kevin Campbell offering their commiserations.

Campbell wrote, “Deepest condolences to Claude’s Father and family. I honestly am shocked and can’t believe it! May he R.I.E.P 🙏🏿❤️😢”
