Frank Lampard has been sacked by Chelsea. The Blues legend has seen his tenure ended after just 18 months, 1 day after his Chelsea team defeated Championship side Luton Town 3-1 in the FA Cup.

In the club statement owner Roman Abrahmovich said:

“This was a very difficult decision for the Club, not least because I have an excellent personal relationship with Frank and I have the utmost respect for him. “He is a man of great integrity and has the highest of work ethics. However, under current circumstances we believe it is best to change managers.”

Rumour has it that recently fired PSG boss Thomas Tuchel is being lined up for the job. Some at the club hope he can help get the best out of German duo Havertz and Werner who haven’t hit the ground running.
