Fredo – Motion Sickness : An MM Review
24 June 2026

Fredo is finally back with his latest offering, a brand-new project titled “Motion Sickness”. Showing that he hasn’t lost a step since his last full release 3 years ago, Fredo does what Fredo does and keeps it real throughout this project.
Kicking the project off with “Damn”, you immediately hear an audio clip from Adam Sandler taken from the 2022 film ‘Hustle’: “I love this game, I live this game. There’s a thousand other guys waiting in the wing who are obsessed with this game”. This sets the tone immediately. The parallels between the context of the clip and the rap game spring to mind immediately, and it seems that Fredo is trying to let us know he is as hungry as ever.
The album is exactly what fans have come to expect from Fredo alongside a couple of surprise twists. Raw, real, and unapologetic, the themes and the subject matter throughout showcase the rapper’s observations that he has made throughout his life and his career. Bars like “They say my name ‘cause they just want a way in” on ‘Way Out’ or “They ask what it’s like to make it out, but I won’t even know ’til I try it” on ‘Choir’, insinuate other rappers use his name to try and get their come up, as well as that despite his level of success, he still doesn’t feel like he’s made it out from the street life yet.
Features from D Block Europe, Burna Boy and Marnz Malone give some different flavours to certain tracks. ‘Birthday’ which features Burna Boy for example has a completely different feel to it, and is definitely more of a track to vibe to, providing a nice break on the project from all the harder-hitting subjects, and allowing the project to breathe a little.
Another standout track is ‘Runnin’ where Fredo clearly had a lot to say, seemingly taking aim at a number of people. One of the standout mentions is Clavish – someone who Fredo has had back and forths with online before. This track feels like a real catalyst and could garner some attention and responses from those mentioned throughout due to the nature of some of the claims Fredo is making – watch this space.
Overall, the album is exactly what you expect from Fredo – real, hard-hitting bars, with stories being told in a way that only Fredo can.
