ITV’s I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! will be opening theme park this summer .

The aptly named I’m A Celebrity… Jungle Challenge will see guests compete in a 90-minute series of tasks, including  zipwires, mazes, climbing walls and parachute-style drops.

Located in the Lowry Outlet Mall in Salford, Greater Manchester participants will be given the full I’m A Celeb experience with recreations of Main Camp, Croc Creek and Snake Rock all apart of the attraction.

Don’t expect to see any live animals however as the park will be using virtual elements instead.

“We’re trying to create a jungle as closely as we can,” said William van Rest, ITV’s director of games, live and merchandising.

“Some of the games within I’m A Celebrity are things like treetop challenges, and one of the team who helps create the games for I’m A Celebrity is helping us with this.”

There is no official date for when the park opens however organisers have promised it will be “opening summer”.

The statement on their website reads:

“The Jungle Challenge team are working hard to get the attraction ready for a 2021 opening. However, as you can imagine we too are having to accommodate the challenges presented by COVID-19.”
