A fourth instalment of the beloved Rush Hour movie franchise is officially in the works.

Rush Hour star Jackie Chan told fans the positive news at the Red Sea Film Festival in Saudi Arabia on Thursday confirming talks had taken place to make another film.

“We’re talking about Rush Hour 4 right now,” the 68-year-old martial arts star said.

While not divulging too many details he did confirm that he was speaking to the movie’s director about the script.

Chan first starred as Chief Inspector Lee in 1998’s Rush Hour, the smash-hit buddy cop action-comedy, alongside Chris Tucker as Detective James Carter.

The original Rush Hour grossed $244 million worldwide, with the trilogy making just shy of $850 million worldwide.
