Jay-Z And Beyonce Spend $28 million On World’s Most Expensive Car

Jay Z and Beyonce are believed to have made some auto mobile history with their purchase of a custom, Rolls Royce for a reported cost of around $28 million – making it the world’s most expensive car.

The motor in question is the bespoke Boat Tail convertible recently unveiled by Rolls Royce and heralded as the the company’s “most ambitious project yet”.

Envisioned and commissioned by “extraordinary clients”, the anonymity of the owner has led to people speculating that Jay and Bey took the liberty to create the pen of a kind car.

Torsten Müller-Ötvös, CEO of Rolls- Royce Motor Cars, said in a statement: “Boat Tail is our most ambitious project yet. Coachbuild, in collaboration with its clients, has ignored all preconceived notions of possibility and set a new standard. This is Bespoke at its purest.”

Of course until it’s revealed the owner of the Boat Tail will remain a mystery but there are a number of potential giveaways that lead to the Carter’s.

Featuring a rear deck that contains a picnic set the luxury forum it seater also has a double refrigerator that “houses the clients” favourite vintages of Armand de Brignac’, the wine company Jay Z bought in 2014 and still owns a 50% stake in.

The car’s colour is described as ‘oceanic blue’ a nod to their nine-year-old daughter Blue Ivy. Rolls Royce also said the car honours ‘the owners’ lifelong reverence for life at sea which ties in the twos frequent vacationing along the French Riviera.

Alex Innes, the company’s Head of Coachbuild Design, said: I enjoyed many meetings with the owner and his wife at their home – they were wonderfully welcoming.”

“They like to serve food in the mezze style, so we talked about the sense of hosting and grandeur which had to be part of this car. We road tested with everything on board at 155mph, just to ensure there are no rattles.”

Whether it really is Jay and Bey or not whoever the car is owned by certainly has an acute taste for the luxury.
