Ye is back and this time he has has teamed up Travis Scott to deliver a powerful track called Wash Us In The Blood alongside, it’s accompanying visualiser.

Shining a light on police brutality, the rapper inserts a montage of videos: from a black officer reprimanding her white counterpart during a protest, Breonna Taylor dancing and the video of Ahmaud Arbery jogging before he met his unimaginable fate. Compiled of additional footage of church, people in hospital and viral clips; all edited in a chaotic nature, we find Kanye’s face amongst them, in shroud of darkness. We watch as his faces morphs and is encapsulated by shards that completely cover his face in a metallic mask. Directed by renowned cinematographer Arthur Jafa.

Leaked a couple of days before it’s expected release; West revealed that the Dr. Dre mixed track would be featured on his forthcoming album God’s Country.

Illustrating issues such as, racism, genocide and slavery throughout. Both rappers take to the bridge to remind fans that God’s Country will follow in the Christian rap footsteps of his last. However, it is clear that it will differ massively from Jesus Is King due to Wash Us In The Blood’s undeniably hard-punching approach to production.

Scroll up to take in the visual accompaniment.
