Claudia Carrion, 44, of Pennsylvania has been charged in a murder-for-hire plot after allegedly trying to have her husband killed on a payment plan.
Carrion was arrested and charged on after trying to hire an undercover detective to take out her husband–who she believed was abusing her and her family as well as cheating on her with several other women.
According to a criminal complaint reviewed by local independent news station WFMZ, the defendant “described in detail why she wanted her husband killed” before paying a $100 deposit.
She also allegedly told an investigator after being arrested that she previously attempted to have a hitman kill her husband but that the first attempt “did not work out,”
Originally agreeing a $4,000 fee, she managed to negotiate a favourable payment plan paying the $100 deposit which subsequently led to her immediate arrest at the shady meet up.
Unfortunately for Carrion she will not be able to pay the rest for the work she required which was to be paid off in $100 instalments, according to the Philly Voice.
Her son Joshua Carrion, however believes that she was “framed”, saying as much in a interview with WFMZ:
“It’s not like that. I feel like she’s getting framed. She’s, she’s Christian, you know, like, very religious. My family — my family — we never do harm. We’re all, you know, innocent. We don’t have no criminal records of nothing.”
The defendant is currently being held at the Lehigh County Jail on a $500,000 bail with her next court appearance is currently scheduled for July 8.
