As promised, Lil Durk gifted fans his hotly-awaited record “The Voice” on Thursday night.

The single follows a hostile exchange between the artist and a colourful-haired troll, who’s camp offered to pay Durkio $3 million to keep maintain their online feud – of course for publicity purposes.

Despite his advances, Lil Durk stayed true to his roots and fixed his crown as – arguably – the king of Chicago’s music scene.

Both visually and lyrically, the rapper humbly flex’s the fruits of his labour while remaining reflective of his come up, his painful past and the “trenches” that raised him.

While serving his trademarked, auto-tuned melodies over a soulful trap-beat; underpinned by a smokey guitar riff and an over arching piano-arrangement.
