Marvel have finally given fans an inkling of what their new movie Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings will be about with the release of its first trailer.

In celebration of Chinese-Canadian star Simu Liu’s birthday, Marvel Studios has finally revealed a first look at its upcoming movie which will kick off MCU Phase 4.

What we can gather so far is that Shang-Chi, played by Liu who must confront the past he thought he left behind when he is drawn into the web of the mysterious Ten Rings organization.

The film also stars Tony Leung as Wenwu, Awkwafina as Shang-Chi’s friend Katy and Michelle Yeoh as Jiang Nan, as well as Fala Chen, Meng’er Zhang, Florian Munteanu and Ronny Chieng.

Disney seems intent on getting fans back into the cinema not making Shang-Chi available on their Disney + streaming platform. This is in stark contrast to Black Widow’s launch on July 9, with that receiving a simultaneous release in cinemas and on Disney’s streaming service.
