Mercedes Unveil Limited Edition Maybach Designed By Virgil Abloh
7 Apr 2022
Mercedes has launched a limited-edition bespoke S-Class designed in collaboration with the late Virgil Abloh.
Served up on a Mercedes Maybach S Class S680, the car is finished in a special two-tone paint with obsidian black up top and a sandy colour down below.
Available in a limited run of 150 units, the car features an interior designed in the same colours, with the steering wheel, doors, lower dashboard and ceiling lined in black and sand-coloured nappa leather with sand coloured decor trims and strips.

The new motor is the latest offering from the collaboration with the first – a racecar inspired G-Wagen known as Project Geländewagen – displayed September 2021.
The pair quickly followed up with the Project Maybach – an all-electric off-road coupe concept thing that had been dreamt up by Abloh and Mercedes design chief Gordon Wagener last December.
“As Project Maybach was a show car, we had complete creative freedom, allowing us to collaboratively concept what the future of electric travel could look like,”said Wagener
“Due to production requirements, we had to take a different approach to the design of the Mercedes-Maybach limited-edition S-Class,” he continued.

“Project Maybach’s iconic two-tone colour-way does [remain] and it is the most striking design element connecting the limited edition to Project Maybach”.
The collaboration will also see a collection of clothing designed by the late fashion designer’s Off-White brand.
