Photo Diary: Ghetts & Adidas x JD shut down 180 studios in iconic Superstar celebration

On Saturday, Ghetts joined forces with adidas and JD to deliver an unforgettable celebration of the adidas Superstar at 180 Studios, London. Bringing together DaMetalMessiah’s curation of up and coming grassroots talent in an galvanising cypher, followed by an electric performance from Ghetts, it was a celebration of the spirit of collaboration that has made the Superstar a cultural icon for over five decades.

Over 500 people descended on 180 for the free performance, and the night opened with Rude Kid taking over the stage, setting the vibe. Next up, an immersive cypher below a supersized-Superstar installation was a showcase of handpicked emerging talent, embodying the raw creativity and energy of London’s music scene, amping up the crowd. Bars were put down and picked up by MCs including: namesbliss, Pozzy, Shakes, Paul Stephan, Saiming, Mini Mxnroe, Duppy and Oskar. 

Adrenaline still pumping, Ghetts said: “The Superstar is more than just a crep, it’s culture, a foundation , it’s about style and creativity. To be on stage after that cypher with such raw untapped talent next generation was special – I’m inspired.
