A man from North Carolina was arrested after authorities found drugs and weapons in his home, including a firearm disguised as a Nerf gun.

In actuality the Glock model 19 pistol equipped with a with a 50-round drum magazine, was painted blue & orange and even detailed with the Nerf logo. The Catawba County Sheriff’s Office noted how guns like these are particularly concerning to them, even though they aren’t illegal to own.

Investigators seized cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms and marijuana as well as 20 firearms, with pistols, rifles and shotguns among them.

“Another success resulting from our area Narcotics Teams working together,” Catawba County Sheriff Don Brown said. “Our agencies pooling their resources allows for a greater impact to be felt county wide.”

Damien Alonzo Burch, 35, was charged with felonious possession of cocaine, felonious possession of mushrooms and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. He’s being held on a $20,000 unsecured bond and had a first appearance in Catawba County District Court on March 18.
