Police Officer Who Shot And Killed Chris Kaba Cleared Of Murder

The Met police officer who shot and killed Chris Kaba two years ago has been cleared of murder.
40-year-old Martyn Blake, shot Mr Kaba, who was unarmed, in the head during a police vehicle stop in Streatham, in September 2022.
The officer denied intending to kill the 24-year-old.
The defendant reportedly took a deep breath as the jury’s decision was read out.
The jury took two hours and 59 minutes to reach its verdict.
Kaba’s relatives walked away from the courtroom in silence, accompanied by their police family liaison officer.
