Pride of Britain Awards Judging Day Introduces New Judges Coleen Rooney, Aitch, Lucy Bronze and more!

The judging panel for the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards with P&O Cruises met yesterday to choose the winners of this year’s prestigious awards. The judges came together at Grosvenor House in central London yesterday (14th August) to select the winners from a shortlist, drawn up by the research team from tens of thousands of nominations. 

This year’s judges included Carol Vorderman MBE, who has hosted the show since it launched in 1999 and co-host, Ashley Banjo MBE. Also on the panel were Michael Sheen, award-winning actor and activist for social justice, television presenter Kate Garraway MBE, presenter and Pride of Britain red carpet host, Pete Wicks, presenter and Pride of Britain red carpet bar host, GK Barry, award winning musician, Aitch, dancer and Loose Women panelist, Oti Mabuse, victorious Lionesses star, Lucy Bronze MBE,  CC Serena Kennedy, Chief Constable of Merseyside Police, Kamila Hawthorne MBE, Chair of the RCGP Council, Ellie Kildunne, English rugby player and the 2024 World Rugby Player of the Year, and television personality and charity patron, Coleen Rooney.

Representatives from the Daily Mirror, P&O Cruises, ITV and The Pride of Britain team joined the judging panel, including Mirror Editor-in-Chief, Caroline Waterston, P&O Cruises Chief Commercial Officer, Stuart Allison, Multistory Media Creative Director, Simone Haywood, and Pride of Britain Editorial Director Shiraz Lalani. The panel was chaired by Michelle Linaker, Head of Studio Live at Reach PLC.

The Awards celebrate truly extraordinary achievements of people of all ages, from children of courage to lifesaving emergency workers, inspirational fundraisers and people who make the world a better place, in local communities and on a national or even global scale.

This year’s winners will be revealed later in the year and celebrated at the star-studded Pride of Britain Awards in October.
