Rising Visual Artist Soldier unveils exclusive skateboard in support of Lewis Hamilton’s charity Mission 44

Lagos-born, London-based artist Soldier has unveiled a striking new charitable project, an exclusive, limited edition skateboard featuring a reimagining of his celebrated painting Ozioma, originally inspired by his eldest sister as a child.

This new design, created in collaboration with Lewis Hamilton’s Mission 44, marks the first in a series of projects between Soldier and the charitable foundation. The board, available to purchase from next week soldierstudio.net, features Soldier’s sister in a vivid red dress, with the Mission 44 logo emblazoned across the back. Proceeds will go directly toward Mission 44’s work empowering young people from underserved communities.

The skateboard follows Soldier’s ongoing work supporting creative and social change through skate culture. His earlier design — launched via Dover Street Market in collaboration with Nigeria’s leading skate brand WAFFLESNCREAM — helped fund Nigeria’s first purpose-built skatepark, which officially opened in Lagos last year. That board was also the most-bid item at the 2024 Mission 44 Gala.
