Russian billionaire & Chelsea FC owner Roman Abramovich was reportedly poisoned during peace talks in Kyiv.

Alongside a number of ukrainian negotiators the 55-year-old is said to have suffered symptoms of poisoning, such as sore eyes and skin peeling.

The Wall Street Journal report claims Russian hardliners were behind the attack in an attempt to sabotage the talks – a person close to the Oligarch said it wasn’t clear who had targeted the group.

Investigative website Bellingcat said the dosage and type of toxin was likely insufficient to cause life-threatening damage and was rather “intended to scare” to scare the attendees.

It tweeted: “Bellingcat can confirm that three members of the delegation attending the peace talks between Ukraine and Russia on the night of 3 to 4 March 2022 experienced symptoms consistent with poisoning with chemical weapons.

The conditions of Abramovich and the others impacted are said to have improved and their lives are not in danger.

Abramovich has since been seen in public, being pictured at Israel’s Tel Aviv airport on 14 March.
