Russia have now implicated both the UK and US alongside the Ukraine as being behind the Moscow concert hall attack that killed at least 139 people on Friday.

The declaration came from director of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB), Alexander Bortnikov, on Tuesday despite an affiliate of the Islamic State group already claiming the terror attack.

The suspects arrested have been confirmed to be radical extremist by Russia itself, US and French intelligence.

“We believe that radical Islamists prepared the action, while Western special services have assisted it and Ukrainian special services had a direct part in it,” Bortnikov said without giving details.

Russian reporters then asked if Ukraine and its allies were connected to the attack on the concert hall, which Bortnikov replied: “We think that’s the case. In any case, we are now talking about the texture that we have. This is general information.”

Ukraine dismissed the Russian accusations as lies while Britain said they were “utter nonsense”.
