Geordie icon Sam Fender kick-started one of the biggest weekends in the British music and sporting calendar yesterday evening with a brilliant performance at Silverstone ahead of the 2025 Grand Prix.

Pulling together, yet again, another amazing lineup for the weekend, Silverstone welcomed the quintet indie rock band Blossoms yesterday evening to support Sam Fender, showcasing their guitar-driven melodic hits including ‘Charlemagne’, ‘Your Girlfriend’ and recent fan favourite ‘Gary’.

Indie rock superstar Sam Fender took to the stage and cranked things up a notch for the roaring Silverstone crowd, performing a set of classic hits such as ‘Seventeen Going Under’, ‘People Watching’ and Hypersonic Missiles’ to close out night one at Silverstone in style.

Following a record-breaking attendance of 480,000 fans in 2024, Silverstone is going bigger and better this year with an eclectic mix of British musical talent, set to perform over the four-day festival line-up – cementing the British Grand Prix as a summer highlight on both the British sporting and music calendar.

Tonight will see RAYE headlining with support from Little Mix star JADE, Saturday will see Fatboy Slim offer his genre-defining beats with support from Swedish-English singer Mabel, and on Sunday Becky Hill will close the show on main stage with support from award winning actor and musician Idris.
