Second Woman Dies After Crowd Crush At Asake London Show

A second woman has died after being injured in a crowd crush at a concert at o2’s Brixton Academy. 

23-year-old, Gabrielle Hutchinson, was working as one of the contracted security providers for the gig at the south London venue on Thursday evening.

Rebecca Ikumelo, 33, from Newham, east London, also died after the incident.

A third woman, aged 21, was in hospital in a critical condition, the Metropolitan Police said in a statement.

Ch Supt Colin Wingrove, of the Metropolitan police, said on Monday: “It is devastating news that a second person has lost their life following the events on Thursday. I wish to express my heartfelt condolences to Gabrielle’s family at this unimaginably difficult time.”
