The sounds of the Sir is on a whole new level…
Sir spyro has today been announced as the host for the new BBC weekly Grime Show announced last month.
The new Grime Show which kicks off today was meant to be hosted by Logan Sama, but a series old “ignorant and offensive comments” he made towards mixed black women resulted in BBC relieving him of the role.
There’s no doubt that Logan would have been a suitable candidate for the role if not for the controversial comments he made – but in Sir Spyro, they have another Grime legend who has done a lot for the scene.
The ‘sounds of the sir’ is a house hold ident in the scene and this is a huge news for the DJ/Producer, who has worked with most of the big names in the Grime scene.
The Radio DJ has been in the game for over 12 years, having joined the Rinse FM roster in 2005 – as well helping nurture some of the up coming talents in the UK Grime scene.
Congratulation to Sir Spyro on the new role and be sure to tune in later as he kick starts the new Girme Show.
