Spotify announces Hometown live series featuring exclusive shows with Jorja Smith, Nemzzz and beabadoobee
18 August 2026

Spotify have today announced Hometown, a new live music format celebrating the places that shape artists and the fans who have supported them from the very beginning.
This September, Hometown will see three of the UK’s most exciting artists – Jorja Smith, Nemzzz and Beabadoobee – return to the communities where their musical journeys began for a series of intimate, one-night-only performances.
A continuation of Spotify’s commitment to bringing fans closer to the artists they love, inviting top listeners of each artist to experience these special performances in person, before they’re made available to audiences around the world through exclusive concert films on Spotify.
The inaugural edition of Hometown shines a spotlight on three artists whose individual journeys reflect the richness and diversity of British music today. Returning to Walsall, Manchester and London, Jorja Smith, Nemzzz and Beabadoobee respectively will each headline a Hometown show that celebrates not only where they come from, but the communities that helped shape their creativity, ambition and sound.
Spotify will be working with each artist to curate community-led initiatives in their hometowns to give back to young people locally and build lasting value beyond the headline performances, including meaningful donations that support the youth groups involved.

Jorja Smith – Walsall, 6th September
One of Britain’s most celebrated singer-songwriters, Jorja Smith has earned global acclaim for her distinctive voice and genre-defying sound, while remaining proudly connected to her Walsall roots. Her new album, ‘What Are The Odds’, is due on 21 August.
“Walsall is where I first started writing and recording music as a teenager. It’s where my love of music began and the people, experiences and sense of community there continue to influence my creativity today. It’s home, home is where my heart is and home is where I found my voice! I hope it’s a moment that inspires the next generation to believe that big things really can come from Walsall.” – Jorja Smith

Nemzzz – Manchester, 12th September
One of the UK’s fastest-rising rap artists, Nemzzz has become one of the defining voices of a new generation, with Manchester continuing to influence both his music and identity. His new album, ‘Locked In’, is due 4 September.
“I’ve always made a point of celebrating Manchester and representing where I’m from, so getting to do Hometown with Spotify feels like a natural extension of that. There’s a pride that comes with doing it at home, around the people and places that have been there from the beginning. No matter where this takes me, I’ll always find a way to bring it back home.” – Nemzzz

Beabadoobee – London, 17th September
Multiple BRIT Award nominated singer-songwriter Beabadoobee has established herself as one of the UK’s most distinctive artists, with her West London upbringing continuing to inspire her music and creative vision. Her new album, ‘Pylon’, is due 18 September.
“London has always felt like home to me, it’s where I started finding my people, making music, playing tiny shows and figuring out what I wanted to do, so Hometown feels really special. It’s also really cool that we’re also able to give something back to the community with The Avenues and support young people locally, that part feels really important to me.” – beabadoobee
As part of Spotify’s growing portfolio of live performances and concert films, Hometown reflects the platform’s ambition to bring its online and offline worlds closer together, creating moments that deepen the connection between artists and the fans who love them.
Concert films from each Hometown performance will premiere exclusively on Spotify in the weeks following the live shows, giving fans everywhere the opportunity to experience these unique homecoming moments.
