Former Denmark and Manchester United legend Peter Schmeichel claims that UEFA strong armed the Danish National team into resuming their opening match of Euro 2020 following the collapse of player Christian Eriksen.

Inter Milan player Eriksen, 29, collapsed having to receive CPR on the pitch suffering a now confirmed cardiac arrest as Denmark’s clash with Finland was suspended just before half-time. zakłady bukmacherskie sts

Eriksen’s team-mates formed a shield round him while he was being treated, in hope to conceal the harrowing images from being scene by fans in attendance and tv cameras. sts bukmacherskie zakłady sportowe

The incredible revelation contradicts what media outlets have been reporting since the tragic incident on Saturday June 12hth which claims the Danish players wanted to carry on.

Schmeichel, asserted on ITV’s Good Morning Britain that he did not think the players had a choice saying:

“Well that’s an interesting debate. I actually saw an official quote from UEFA yesterday saying that they were following the advice of the player, the players insisted on playing – I know that not to be the truth,”

“Or, it’s how you see the truth. They were left with three options, one was to play immediately and get the last 50 minutes played,” he added.

“The next one was to come in yesterday at 12 noon and finish the 50 minutes and the third option was to forfeit the game, 3-0,”

“So work it out for yourself. Is it the players’ wish to play? Did they have any choice really? euro zakłady bukmacherskie I don’t think they had. As you can hear from yesterday’s press conference, the coach, he seriously regrets putting the players back on to the pitch.”

UEFA have “categorically” denied that there was any threat of a forfeit.
