Will Smith Keeps His Award But Is Banned From Oscars For 10 Years

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Board of Governors have announced that Will Smith will not be able to attend the Oscars for 10 years after slapping Chris Rock at the 94th Academy Awards.

The 54-person board of governors held a special meeting on Friday morning, later releasing a statement delivered by President David Rubin and CEO Dawn Hudson.

“The Board has decided, for a period of 10 years from April 8, 2022, Mr. john lee ivermectin Smith shall not be permitted to attend any Academy events or programs, in person or virtually, including but not limited to the Academy Awards,”

Smith followed with a statement of his own saying, “I accept and respect the Academy’s decision”.
