Women In Jazz have announced the launch of ‘The Year of Women In Jazz’, a transformative 12-month programme that brings together new music, live performances, talks and mentorship to highlight the incredible talent within the Women In Jazz community.

The community is a vibrant network of over 10,000 individuals, ranging from singer-songwriters and producers to instrumentalists and composers. Led by a team of highly skilled creatives, Women in Jazz directs, produces, and brings to life projects centred on music, storytelling, and real-world experiences. The organisation boasts connections with some of today’s top female artists, including BRIT Award-winning musician Celeste and rising drummer and composer Jas Kayser.

Their impressive portfolio includes radio shows for Sky TV, Jazz FM, and British Airways, panel discussions at Love Supreme Festival, and live events at the iconic Ronnie Scott’s.

‘The Year of Women in Jazz’ represents a major milestone for the organisation. The launch of this campaign – backed by industry heavyweights like Love Supreme Festival, Soho House, London Jazz Festival, and Soho Radio – follows extensive research within their community, focusing on the challenges and opportunities for women in the UK jazz scene.

At the core of the initiative is the release of 12 singles throughout the year, in collaboration with London-based record label New Soil and Marathon Music Group. These tracks, performed and produced by artists from the Women in Jazz network, will showcase the incredible talent and diverse sounds of UK jazz and beyond.

Throughout the year, each artist will receive support from Women in Jazz, including mentoring, studio time, and live performance opportunities.
