World’s First Porn Passports To Be Introduced In Europe

In a move that would be the first in the world, France is planning to introduce an age verification system to restrict minors looking at pornography.

Dubbed “porn passports” would be viewers will have to install a government phone application in order to receive an official digital certification and code proving they are 18+.

Currently all that is required to watch pornography is to tick a box saying you are over the age of 18.

France’s digital minister, Jean-Noel Barrot, said “it is the end of access to pornography websites for our children.”

The UK had dabbled in the idea of a “porn ban”, which similarly would have meant people accessing adult content online would only be able to do so with proper age verification checks.
